This website was setup in the hope that it will prompt individuals into doing more about reducing carbon emissions and helping the environment.The author who has a life long interest in the environment noticed that even though global warming,being carbon neutral etc. is in the media every day, almost none of the people he knows is actually doing something about it.Unfortunately there seems to be a very strong apathy towards this topic by a large percentage of the general public.You just have to look outside your front door to see it.In Australia for example in 2007 there were over a million new cars sold.That is 1 new car for every 20 people or so in the country.Most of the cars sold were not very fuel efficient.An outrageous figure considering Australia is greatly affected by climate change.Some parts of the country have been in drought for more than 10 years which is the worst on record.We simply cannot afford such extravagance.On the other hand there are a lot of good things going on in the world regarding climate change.Although at the moment it is not enough and happening too slowly.Simple things that can be done quickly and make a big difference are just not happening.Sometimes we need to stop what we are doing and take a long,careful look at the bigger picture.
